Holiday Lights Brighten the Holidays

Imperial - Holiday Lights Brighten the Holidays

November 27, 2020

Need a little pick me up this holiday season? Come out to Constellation Field where Sugar Land Holiday Lights will brighten the holiday season for the seventh year in a row.

The sparkling wonderland features 3.5 million lights, a carnival, eight themed areas, light shows every hour synced up to music, a carnival, a make-your-own s'mores pit, visits with Santa Claus and more through Jan. 3.

Because of Covid-19 restrictions, Santa will be placed behind plexiglass. Organizers have gotten creative, however. A wonderful safe bench will be placed where children can chat with Santa and have a professional picture taken. There is an extra fee for the photo. Santa's last night at Holiday Lights will be Dec 23.

A number of themed nights are planned, including the return of Santa’s Center Field Cinema. Attendees are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs every Wednesday night at 6:45 p.m. to enjoy Christmas, movies including The Grinch and Polar Express.

Additionally, there will be a Pints & Lights night where revelers can sample brew from local breweries. Lights and Leases encourages pet parents to bring their furry Fidos along. Rudolph’s Wagon Parade invites children 12 and under to decorate their wagons and participate in a special parade. A full listing of the events can be found here.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for kids ages 4-13, $12 for seniors and military, $10 for groups (10+), and free for children 3 and under. Carnival admission is separate and wristbands are $15 each. Tickets can be purchased online, or by calling the Skeeters at 281-240-4487 or visiting the Constellation Field ticket office.

All Sugar Land Holiday Lights attendees will be required to wear a mask while inside the facility and will have their temperature checked upon entry. Sanitation stations will also be located around Constellation Field for the event. The Skeeters will also be enforcing social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Imperial residents live within walking and biking distance of Constellation Field, which means they can easily take in the lights any day of the week.
