The Rainbow Room Provides Something New

Cross Creek Ranch - The Rainbow Room Provides Something New

December 12, 2020

How can you help abused and neglected children feel loved and cared for this holiday season? By selecting the Rainbow Room as your charity of choice when you purchase your new home in Cross Creek Ranch.

Throughout the month of December, Cross Creek Ranch will donate $500 to one of your choice of five charities when you buy a new home during our Give Back — Move Forward promotion. The charities are Abigail’s Place, Family Hope, Fort Bend PAWS, Rainbow Room and Texana Center.

Also, through the promotion, one buyer will receive an extra gift if they close on their new home by Oct. 31, 2021 — a $5,000 furniture gift card.

The Rainbow Room is a resource room caseworkers can access 24 hours a day, seven days a week for children and adults involved with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.

The Rainbow Room philosophy is that getting new items rather than those that are second-hand can have a significant impact on children in helping them feel cared for and helping them fit in with their peers at school. That is why the organization stocks only new school supplies, clothes, toiletries, toys and other items frequently needed to meet the emergency needs of families in crisis.

The non-profit takes the financial onus off of caseworkers who, prior to the establishment of the Rainbow Room, often used their own funds to meet those needs. Not all of these expenditures were reimbursable, but caseworkers bought them anyway to help abused and neglected children feel cared for.

Can you help even if you aren’t buying a new home? Of course! We are accepting donations of needed items on behalf of the Rainbow Room. Donations can be left under the Giving Tree at the Cross Creek Ranch Welcome Center, 6450 Cross Creek Bend Lane. Check out the list below to see what is needed:
