Welcome to the Top 50 Naturehood

Cross Creek Ranch - Welcome to the Top 50 Naturehood

February 01, 2022

Cross Creek Ranch has done it again. We are one of the top 50 master-planned communities in the nation, and it’s all thanks to our wonderful new residents.

We took the No. 48 spot on the annual Robert Charles Lesser & Co. (RCLCO) report listing the top 50 master-planned communities. We’re no stranger to the list, but each year we’re on it, it feels like the very first time. Rankings reflect net sales for the previous year.

More than 39,000 people purchased new homes in the top 50 master-planned communities in 2021 — 458 of them in Cross Creek Ranch.

What attracted buyers to them — the opportunity to live life outdoors. Communities that offered extensive outdoor amenities such as trails, parks, sports complexes and nature areas fared very well last year, according to RCLCO. Buyers not only wanted to walk, jog, bike and swim but to socialize outside.

Cross Creek Ranch is known for its extensive outdoor amenities. Our system of lakes and trails, including Flewellen Creek and the Polishing Pond, offer unique ways to enjoy nature. They both serve as wildlife habitats for migratory birds as well as countless amphibians and reptiles. While other communities encourage you to hit the links and try for a birdie, we encourage you to hit the boardwalk and watch for birds. Which is not to say we don’t have links. The Links at Flewellen Creek is an 18-hole disc golf course that is fun for the entire family.

Pools are great for fun and exercise. You can take a ride on our 140-foot water slide at Adventure Island Water Park, swim laps at Flewellen Creek Pool or dive into the resort-style pool at Greenthread Park.

Enjoy dining outdoors? On-site Italian Maid Café boasts a beautiful patio and an expansive menu for all palettes. During certain times of the year, local musicians serenade diners at the popular Music on the Patio events.

A chance to explore outdoors isn’t the only thing today’s buyers want. They need space. Larger homes were in demand last year. Buyers were especially interested in floor plans that offered home offices, flex rooms and dual workstations. Game rooms that could double as home education studios were also popular. Newer homes also offered much needed pre-wired wi-fi, built-in USB chargers, larger kitchens with huge pantries, better noise insulation, porches, big backyards and extended patios.

You can see examples of these floor plans when you visit our 12 model homes. You can also take a tour of our amazing community and pick out the places you would most love to play. We’re looking forward to welcoming you home.
