Master-Planned Community Leader Johnson Development Unveils New Website

June 02, 2008

(Missouri City, TX – May 2008)  Savvy Realtors know there is one name to trust when it comes to master-planned communities in the Houston area: The Johnson Development Corp.

Johnson Development is responsible for many of the area’s top-selling communities, such as Fall Creek, Riverstone, Sienna Plantation, Silverlake, Tuscan Lakes, Woodforest and Edgewater. An interesting mix of amenities is a trademark of a Johnson Development community, as are a varied and esteemed slate of builders and distinctive neighborhoods. The developer is unveiling a new Website, www.johnsondevelopment.com that details its many communities and offers lists of builders, homes for sale and much more. Particularly useful is the site’s search tool, which allows users to search homes by price, area, school district, builder, number of bedrooms and other criteria.

“Our new Website is a great resource for Realtors trying to match clients’ needs in communities that are easy to sell,” said Johnson Development’s Doug Goff, senior vice president-director of land development. “We’re very excited to introduce such a powerful tool.”

Active Johnson Development communities in the Houston area include:

Fall Creek
The only golf course community located inside Beltway 8, Fall Creek features clusters of homes in intimate villages connected by miles of hiking trails and greenbelts. Residents enjoy The Park at Fall Creek, a 10-acre recreation complex with aquatic center, tennis courts, playground and more. A second recreation center opened in 2007 with a 25-meter pool featuring submerged shelves for sunbathing, a separate Jacuzzi and a cabana. Fall Creek also is home to Redstone Golf Club, the site of the Shell Houston Open. Planned for more than 2,000 homes, Fall Creek is 15 miles from downtown Houston and eight miles from Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Riverstone
Located in Fort Bend County, Riverstone is planned for 6,000 homes with prices ranging from $200,000 to more than $3 million. Lakes, waterways and green spaces contour Riverstone’s landscape and resort-style amenities. When complete, the 3,700-acre development will have numerous pool and recreation centers, lighted tennis courts and 24 miles of walkways and jogging trails. More than half of the community is forested with large pecan trees and hardwoods. Plus, Riverstone includes two miles of frontage along the Brazos River and the 110-acre Lake Riverstone. The community is located on Highway 6, three miles south of U.S. 59.

Sienna Plantation
Planned for 20,000 homes, Sienna Plantation is located in Fort Bend County less than a mile west of Fort Bend Parkway. Sienna residents stay busy with an array of tempting amenities, including the 12-acre Club Sienna featuring a competition pool as well as an adjoining water park with slides and a giant spill bucket; lighted tennis courts, a playground, a sand volleyball court; and a lakeside amphitheater. The 160-acre Camp Sienna sports complex hosts various activities and teams throughout the year. Sienna also features the Brushy Lake Fitness Center, two additional community pools, miles of walking trails, numerous parks and the Sienna Plantation Golf Club, an 18-hole course with clubhouse, pro shop and full-service restaurant.

Tuscan Lakes
Located in League City, Tuscan Lakes offers easy access to Clear Lake, the Kemah Boardwalk and Galveston Island. The community is designed with a Mediterranean theme featuring architectural elements reminiscent of the Tuscany region of Italy, and is noted for its parks, resort-style pools, lakes, nature reserves, water features, greenbelts, walkways and jogging trails. A recreation complex central to Tuscan Lakes’ current neighborhoods includes a pool with a children’s splash play area and an elaborate playground. A second recreation center will open for the 2008 summer swim season.

Woodforest
A new 3,000-acre community, Woodforest is located in Montgomery County just seven miles west of Interstate 45, four miles north of The Woodlands and four miles south of Conroe. The development’s land plan takes advantage of the community’s gently rolling, heavily forested terrain, including more than 500 acres that will be preserved in their natural state for passive recreational use. An aquatics and tennis center, as well as parks and playgrounds will cater to more active pursuits. Woodforest offers premier homesites, many of which are near lakes, streams, greenbelts, nature preserves and the 27-hole Woodforest Golf Club. Construction on the community’s first homes will begin later this year; its Welcome Lodge is now under way.

Edgewater
Edgewater is the Bay Area’s newest master-planned community, encompassing a mix of single-family residences and custom homes supported by town-centered components including upscale retail, luxury apartments, townhomes and mid-rise residential projects. Residents will enjoy a marina, pool, lakes and nature trails leading to a 35-acre nature preserve on the banks of Clear Creek. Boating enthusiasts will have convenient, protected waterway access to Clear Lake, Galveston Bay and beyond, and will be able to dock their vessels in the Edgewater marina. Custom homeowners will have the choice of marina docking or housing their boats along one of several canals adjacent to the custom home island section of Edgewater. The first homesites will be available later this year.
