Lifestyle Merit Program Helps Harmony Children Learn New Skills

Harmony - Lifestyle Merit Program Helps Harmony Children Learn New Skills

March 23, 2015

Harmony children ages 5-12 can explore new interests, learn new skills and earn special rewards thanks to Harmony’s new Lifestyle Merit Program, monthly classes in areas ranging from gardening and kayaking to culinary and giving back to the community.

Led by Harmony Lifestyle Director Tori Whelan, the monthly, one-hour gatherings are available exclusively for Harmony families.  The schedule thru December includes classes in safety & first aid, geo-caching, archery, yoga, camping and painting.

Kids will earn a merit badge after completing an activity.  Those who complete all ten programs and earn their associated badges will earn a unique Lifestyle Merit Badge at an end-of-year ceremony.  Plus, kids will receive a drawstring bag to display their badges.
