Cross Creek Ranch - Try Tabata Boot Camp Free May 24 at Cross Creek Ranch Fitness Center

May 18, 2016

Try one of the latest fitness crazes and get an insider’s introduction to the Cross Creek Ranch Fitness Center, 6440 Cross Creek Bend Lane, during a free Tabata Boot Camp 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 24.

Tabata Boot Camp is a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout that takes participants through increasing intensity exercises for short intervals of time followed by a period of rest. The microburst intervals are typically stacked into 30-minute workouts. The class in Cross Creek Ranch should take about 30 minutes.

“Tabata training trades lengthy workouts for high intensity, giving you all the benefit of exercise in half the time” said April Zieschang, a fitness director with The Risher Companies, which manages the fitness center for the Cross Creek Ranch community association. “The benefits of Tabata continue up to 48 hours after you exercise as your body keeps burning extra calories.”

The Cross Creek Ranch Fitness Center is a 6,000-square-foot gym equipped with free weights, spin cycles and advanced cardio and strength equipment. Group fitness classes are held throughout the week, including yoga, Zumba, Piyo and more. The state-of-the-art facility is open daily to residents of Cross Creek Ranch and is managed by a full-time, on-site fitness director. Classes are usually limited to residents of Cross Creek Ranch.

Those wanting to attend the free class must be at least 13 years old. Register at:
