Thousands Enjoy Crustaceans and Carnival Rides
April 15, 2019
Thanks to you, the first annual Woodforest Crawfish Carnival was an unmitigated success attracting 3,0000 people with a kaleidoscope of crunchy crustaceans, carnival rides and colorful fun.
We had mounds of crawfish available as well as a Ferris wheel offering views of our serene Christine Allen Nature Park. Adults and children moved to the beat of Zydeco music. We enjoyed seeing crawfish race (rather than in the pot). A carousel, carnival games and food, inflatables, a stilt walker, a photo booth and more rounded out the fun festivities. Giant, colorful pinwheels were available for family photos and selfies. Check out all the fun here.
If you joined us, thank you. If you weren’t able to make it this time, don’t despair. We are already making plans for next year!
And, if you are in need of a unique, Instagram-worthy photo, our pinwheels will be up all month as part of Houston’s Largest Home Tour, sponsored by Woodforest developer Johnson Development Corp. During the month-long tour, the public can tour hundreds of model homes and available homes in 13 Johnson communities. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. Admission is free.
