Jordan Ranch Community Garden Sprouts Up

Jordan Ranch Community Garden Sprouts Up

January 15, 2020

Our residents love it when new amenities sprout up at Jordan Ranch, but they are particularly looking forward to reaping the rewards of our latest endeavor — a community garden.

This small farm will be overseen by Agmenity, a company that provides agricultural amenity services to developers, HOAs, school districts and other community organizations. Among the many projects they have been responsible for is the 12-acre farm at the center of our sister community, Harvest Green.

In addition to growing a range of vegetables and herbs, the garden will provide opportunities to learn through programs such as volunteer days, as well as entertainment through dinners and harvest celebrations. Professional farm educators will be on hand to teach residents all aspects of cultivation from sowing seeds to harvesting the produce.

The garden will be located at the south end of Cinnamon Teal Circle. Produce grown will be available to residents (although those willing to get their hands dirty and help out our farmers might be able to take home some free, freshly harvested goodies.)

Produce also will be sold to local restaurants to offset the costs of maintaining the garden.

We are thrilled to be able to make this “farm-tastic” opportunity available to residents and can’t wait until our first harvest!
