Prosthesis-Fitting Room Opens with Sienna Women’s League Help
November 04, 2019
Members of the Sienna Women’s League (SWL) participated in the opening of the Sienna Room, a new breast prothesis-fitting room, during a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at Methodist Sugar Land Hospital Cancer Survivorship Center on Monday, Oct. 28.
Methodist Sugar Land CEO Chris Siebenaler and SWL President Julie Platek shared the ribbon-cutting honors. The project was spearheaded by women league member Tammy Breau, who orchestrated the fundraising effort to purchase furnishings and accessories for the room. On Sept. 18, volunteers spent the day decorating it.
Soft pink walls, white and gold vintage furniture and area rugs create a cozy, spa-like area for patients. A fitting room framed by beautiful curtains donated by Jen Hayes at Feather & Nest Interiors is anchored by a handsome full-length mirror.
Congratulations to SWL! Groups like the Sienna Women's League are the heart of the Sienna community!
