Families Unplug at Woodforest March 6

Families Unplug at Woodforest March 6

February 17, 2020

Leave your cell phones at the door and connect on a more personal level as you #unplug from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, March 6, at Woodforest.

Families are invited to take a break from electronic devices and join us at the Christine Allen Nature Park, 5831 Woodforest Parkway South, for a National Day of Unplugging event that will recharge your relationships without need of charging stations.

The evening will include free classic outdoor games, a movie under the stars, glow in-the-dark activities and more. Phone “sleeping bags” will be available to keep your phone safe, sound and out of the way while you enjoy spending time with your family.

Hungry? We have some awesome food trucks lined up for your al fresco dining pleasure. Pacific Yard House will be bringing the smoky goodness of their popular burgers and ribs. Mexi-Rican Waffles Foodtruck’s mix of Puerto Rican and Mexican fusion will satisfy those looking for a meal with a little spice. For dessert, we’re shaking things up with the tasty flavors served up by Shake You Up Milkshake Bar.

Friendly and leashed dogs are welcome. Bring your chairs and blankets to enjoy the outdoor movie on the lawn. Parking is available at Christine Allen Nature Park and Lake Creek Preserve.

We’ll see you there!
