Woodforest Promises the Brightest of Holidays

Woodforest Promises the Brightest of Holidays

November 30, 2020

River Oaks, Pecan Grove, Tanglewood and Shepherd Park in Houston are all go-to neighborhoods for fantastic holiday light displays.

This year, Woodforest is dressed to impress holiday light seekers, as well, during the Merry & Bright Tour of Lights, now through Dec. 31.

Revelers can start their journey at Christine Allen Nature Park for a drive-thru tour of three miles featuring more than 70 light displays. Make sure to stop at “Santa’s Workshop” to take holiday photos and drop off letters to the jolly man in the red suit. On Saturdays, Santa’s Workshop will also have take-home cookie decorating kits, jingle bells, hot cocoa and reindeer food from 6-8 p.m. while supplies last.

Those wanting to stay in Montgomery County have additional options for drive-thru Christmas cheer:

June Breeze Place, Alden Bridge
Located in the Westwinds neighborhood, this whimsical display delights children with custom Whos, decorated yards and thousands of lights.

Dodd Family Holidays

62 W. Knightsbridge Drive, Harpers Landing
A musical, synchronized Christmas lights display with more than 20,000 lights, 278 channels of computerized control and 50 sequenced songs and spots that are broadcast on 95.1 FM, so you can listen from your car.

Woody Wonderland

18 Forge Hill Place
5:30-10 p.m. Nov. 28-Jan. 10
Music, candy canes, snow, bubbles and more than 25,000 lights make a stop here a tradition for many families.

Bethany Bend Drive

Alden Bridge
One of the most festive neighborhoods in the area (second to Woodforest, of course). Enter at Bethany Bend Drive and go left or right to circle around on Bethany Bend Circle.

Prestonwood Forest

Dusk to 10 p.m. Dec. 12-27
For 40+ years, Prestonwood Forest has delighted families with more than 786 homes brightly lit for the holidays.
