Buy a Home, Give Families Hope

Cross Creek Ranch - Buy a Home, Give Families Hope

December 09, 2020

Food lines are growing longer each day and many families aren’t sure how they will pay their rent. There is good news. You can give families hope by making a donation to a charity such as Family Hope or by purchasing a new home in Cross Creek Ranch.

This season, we are doing what we can to help members of our community who are in need of assistance by donating $500 to five local charities for each new home sold in December. When you purchase your home, you can designate one of the five to receive the donation. The non-profit organizations have a proven track record of doing good in the Fulshear area. They include Abigail’s Place, Family Hope, Fort Bend PAWS, Rainbow Room and Texana Center.

Also, through the promotion, one buyer will receive an extra gift if they close on their new home by Oct. 31, 2021 — a $5,000 furniture gift card.

Family Hope is the largest non-profit agency exclusively serving northern Fort Bend County’s residents with medical assistance, food, rent and utility assistance, job searches, furniture and disaster relief.

Since March the organization has seen a 700 percent increase in clientele and has already served more than 20,000 people this year alone.

Even if you aren’t in the market for a new home, you can provide much-needed items. Family Hope is currently asking for donations of children’s books, Christmas gifts and children’s blankets. Books should be written at the pre-Kindergarten level and toys geared to ages 1 to 12.

Food is always welcome. Needed non-perishable items include rice, beans, spaghetti, pasta, tomato sauce, canned tuna, peanut butter, oatmeal, cereal, instant milk and canned vegetables.

Please bring any donations to the Cross Creek Ranch Welcome Center, 6450 Cross Creek Bend Lane, and place them under our Giving Tree.

Thank you for offering hope to families in the Fulshear area.
