Lamar CISD Set To Improve Education Districtwide

November 27, 2020

Conveniently located in the heart of LCISD, Jordan Ranch is excited to be a community in such a fast-growing and education-focused school district and with the recently passed LCISD Bond 2020, the district is about to become even better.

The passing of propositions A and D have secured Lamar CISD $666,810,864 in bond funding to go directly toward improving school campuses. After the bonds are sold, LCISD students and faculty can look forward to districtwide upgrades and new facilities to accommodate the projected student increase of up to 29,000 students over the next decade.

The funds will help renovate more than 30 existing campuses and provide support for students and faculty, as well, through technological devices and improvements.

Faculty and students will be able to look forward to new land, 78 buses and six entirely new schools to make sure every future student has a place in LCISD. Districtwide, students and faculty will also gain access to laptops and iPads, new and updated furniture, and general cosmetic updates.

More Students, More Schools

With a new high school, a junior high, a middle school and three elementary schools in addition to the upgraded existing campuses, LCISD is taking all necessary steps to ensure academic success for students over the next 10 years.

"Although Propositions B and C were unsuccessful, we look forward to continuing our conversations with parents, staff and the community,” said Lamar CISD Superintendent Dr. Thomas Randle. “As one of the fastest-growing school districts in Texas, a collaborative dialogue is essential. As always, we will work alongside our school board to build schools and facilities our community will be proud of, while keeping an eye on our tax dollars."

Whether your young students are joining LCISD in the future or are currently enrolled, you can take solace knowing that their academic success is a priority and the district is only set to become even better.
