Commit to a Fitter New Year

Cross Creek Ranch - Commit to a Fitter New Year

January 31, 2023

Ready to jump into your fitness goals for the new year? The first step is to commit. The second is to make the move to Cross Creek Ranch. Why? Our community offers so many ways to exercise it’s easy to keep your New Year’s resolutions and exceed your exercise goals.

Hit the Gym

Not motivated to hit the gym? Not surprising. Who wants to fight traffic for a one- or two-hour workout? Cross Creek Ranch residents don’t have to leave the community to hit the gym. We have a 6,500-square-foot facility filled with everything you need to build your body better. Lift weights, hit the elliptical or take a spin on our cycles. There’s no membership fee and always someone ready to encourage you. Yoga, Boot Camp, Zumba and more are available to those who love group classes. Want some one-on-one-interaction? We’ve even got personal trainers.

Fitness Trails Are Calling

Resolved to add strength training to your cardio workout? Hit the trails! We installed four trailside fitness stations throughout the community. The training systems are designed to give you a full circuit workout including pull-up bars, row stations, ab stations, arc ladders, arc traverse stations, cargo nets, dip stations, monkey bars and press stations. You can get in a quick workout anytime while enjoying fresh air, sunshine and the beauty of Cross Creek Ranch.

Walk It Off

Walking is the best and easiest way to exercise. Just 30 minutes of brisk walking every day leads to a healthier heart, lower cholesterol, increased endurance, stronger bones, reduced body fat and better balance. Walking in Cross Creek Ranch is fun because there are so many things to see — wildflowers, wildlife, lakes, trees, the Polishing Pond, parks and your neighbors!

Sail Away

Paddle your way to fitness on one of our lakes. Kayaking and paddle boarding are fun ways to work out. Most people don’t realize they are exercising. Both activities work your arms, legs and core. You’ll burn a lot (and we mean a lot) of calories as well.

Shall We Play a Game?

Feed your need for exercise and your competitive spirit when you play games in Arbor Park. The park features five tennis courts, sand volleyball court and a basketball court. There’s also a kayak launch in case you want to get in an extra workout. Pine Park offers opportunities to play wall-ball and pickleball or challenge yourself on the putting green. If lacrosse is your game, Fields at Pine Park is a great place to play. There’s also an 18-hole disc golf course.

Get the Kids Out

A healthy family is a happy family. Get the kids out of the house with a trip to one of our many playgrounds. They’ll have fun exercising their bodies and imaginations. You can spot them on the climbing equipment or do some pull-ups on the monkey bars. If your babies have fur, unleash their energy at Canine Commons dog park.

Switch It Up for Summer

Face it, everyone needs to change up their exercise routine. In the summer, our residents hit our three pools. Dedicated lap swimmers choose Flewellen Creek Pool. You can also swim laps at Adventure Island while the kids enjoy the splash pad and the 140-foot water slide. Greenthread Park offers a gorgeous resort-style pool to dive into after you hit the sand volleyball court.
