Building Homes and Community

Sienna - Building Homes and Community

December 14, 2022

Sienna is a “have-it-all” kind of community, providing everything you need to put down roots and build a community of friends and friends-who-are-like-family. Beyond beautiful homes, here’s what else you’ll find in Sienna:

Schools

Sienna's Ridge Point High School in Missouri City, TX

Mornings in Sienna find sidewalks crowded with parents and their young children walking to one of the four on-site Fort Bend ISD elementary schools, with older children biking to one of two on-site middle schools and even older kids driving to Ridge Point High School in Sienna. Beyond public schools, there are private schools — including Divine Savior Academy, which offers classes into high school. Montessori schools and preschools in the community provide early childhood education opportunities.

All of these schools invite parents to get involved, volunteering at the school, attending performances and festivals, meeting with teachers and more. Both children and their parents make friendships that span the school years and beyond.

Churches

There are nearly a dozen churches found within Sienna in a variety of denominations. This is particularly welcome to new residents and gives them an instant community as they take time to get to know their neighbors. The churches also provide support to the greater community, hosting charity events, festivals that are open to the public and more.

Medical Care

Physicians, dentists, eye doctors — even veterinarians all have offices within Sienna, giving residents the chance to build long-lasting relationships with their care providers. And while we hope residents never need urgent care, it can be a comfort knowing there are two facilities located within the community, as well as several pharmacies.

Grocery Stores

Sienna’s two grocery stores — H-E-B and Harvest Market — make it very convenient to pop in and get a few items for dinner or tame that sudden craving for Blue Bell Moo-llenium Crunch ice cream (apologies if we just made you hungry for some). Seasoned Sienna residents know they can usually expect to see a few familiar faces as they cruise the aisles. That’s just what happens in a small town!

Fitness and Fun

There’s no denying that people who sweat together often form bonds. Whether it’s chatting with the person next to you on the treadmill or spotting someone trying to push themselves with weights, you get to know your fellow fitness enthusiasts. A home in Sienna comes with access to two well-equipped fitness centers — the Brushy Lake Fitness Center and the facility at Sawmill Lake Club. You’ll also find miles of trails for walking and jogging, a tennis center with eight lighted courts and boot camps organized by residents. The 160-acre Camp Sienna sports park hosts sports leagues for youth and adults year-round.

Everyday Conveniences

Getting groceries isn’t the only chore you can cross off your list without leaving Sienna. Drop off clothes at the cleaners, get your nails done, pick up cat food, buy tequila for the margaritas you’ll be making at this weekend’s block party, purchase shin guards for your budding soccer player — you can do it all right here. And don’t be surprised if you see someone you know!

Parks

Sienna Parks are Fun for Young Fort Bend County Residents

Parks, parks and more parks — that’s what you’ll find in Sienna! And don’t think parks are just for kids — they might be running around playing, but parents often are sitting side-by-side on a bench chatting all while keeping a watchful eye on their children. And while there are numerous traditional parks and playgrounds, pup parents are happy to know there is a dog park in Sienna with a second one planned.

Water Parks and Pools

A favorite gathering spot during the summer is any of the five pools found in Sienna — two of them large enough to be considered water parks. Zip down twisting water slides, play water basketball or just relax poolside — it’s cool fun enjoyed by all ages and provides yet another opportunity to meet people in the community.

Events

Young Residents Enjoy Sienna Events in Missouri City, TX

Of course, the best way to meet fellow Sienna residents is to attend an event hosted by the lifestyle team. There’s something for everyone — from storytime for tots to parties for those 55+. Beyond targeted events catering to a particular hobby or age, there are also concerts, festivals and more that draw residents of all kinds. It’s easy to bond dancing to your favorite band playing at the lakeside amphitheater.

If you’re looking for an “everybody-knows-your-name” kind of lifestyle, you’ll find it in Sienna. Talk with our builders to see how you can start building a home and community in Sienna.
